Scholarships
Community Hospital's Scholarship Loan Program offers
participants the opportunity to advance their education
and become a team member at our regional healthcare
facility. Community Hospital is a Joint Commission
accredited hospital in Southwest Nebraska. Our 25-bed,
Critical Access Hospital offers advanced care in family
medicine, general surgery, orthopedic surgery,
pediatrics, and numerous visiting specialty clinics.
Many services and programs keep our hospital supporting
our mission: To excel at providing for the healthcare
needs of our region through quality, efficient and
patient-centered care. Our Scholarship Loan Program is
financed by contributions from our employees, medical
staff and community. This program is supported in order
to recruit and retain well-educated, dedicated employees
for Community Hospital. The
Health Career Scholarship Application is provided
here for your convenience. We invite you to print the
application and return the completed form to Community
Hospital Health Foundation,
801 West C Street, P.O. Box 1328,
McCook, Nebraska 69001-1328. In addition to the health
career scholarship, benefactors have generously provided
funds for endowed scholarship accounts in appreciation
for superior healthcare and in understanding the need to
recruit and retain a viable healthcare workforce. The
Endowed Scholarship Guidelines explain requirements and
the review process by Community Hospital’s Education
Committee to determine scholarship awards from these
endowed scholarship funds. The following endowed
scholarships are available.
Jackie Boehm Memorial Scholarship - September 15
Joe and Alice Edwards Scholarship - March 15
